Additionally, as Director of Veteran Services at MHMR of Tarrant County, Robert significantly expanded behavioral health services to comprehensively address the mental health needs of veterans and their families.

AREAS OF SPECIALTY

Inspired by the strength and resilience of individuals overcoming trauma, Robert pursued advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and achieved certification through EMDRIA. Robert specializes in treating teens, adults, and families facing challenges such as trauma, abuse/neglect, anxiety, depression, alcohol/substance abuse, addictions, anger management, and grief. He also has experience working with individuals dealing with mood disorders such as Bipolar I & II, and personality disorders. As a veteran himself, he is particularly dedicated to supporting fellow veterans coping with PTSD.

Robert's extensive experience in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs has also equipped him with the expertise to effectively guide adolescents back into their daily lives by integrating new coping skills learned during treatment.  He creates a warm, trusting therapeutic environment that encourages individuals to embrace vulnerability, heal, and grow. His clients often say they appreciate his balanced blend of accountability and compassion.

When he’s not working, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. They enjoy being outside, attending sporting events, and traveling.
